Meet Dr. Bovino


Brian F. Bovino, DMD, received his dental degree from Fairleigh Dickinson University School of Dentistry in 1985. He completed a general practice residency in dentistry at Mt. Sinai Medical Center in New York City in 1986. He served as junior fellow in Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery at Woodhull Hospital in Brooklyn New York, finishing in 1987. He completed a residency in Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery at St. Luke's/Roosevelt Hospital Center in 1990.


Dr. Bovino has been in private practice since 1990. In addition, he has held academic positions at St. Luke's/Roosevelt Hospital, first as Clinical Coordinator of residency training followed by Section Chief, Division of Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery. In 2004 he became Director of the Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery residency training program at St. Lukes/Roosevelt Hospital.


He is licensed to practice dentistry and administer in-office general anesthesia in New York and New Jersey. He is a Board Certified Diplomate of the American Board of Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery. He is a Clinical Associate Professor at Columbia University School of Dental & Oral Surgery. He is a member of various societies including the American Dental Association, a Fellow of the American Association of Oral & Maxillofacial Surgeons, and Member of the American Society of Dental Anesthesiology. He is a Board Member of the New York State Society of Oral & Maxillofacial Surgeons.


His practice includes full scope oral & maxillofacial surgery with emphasis in maxillofacial trauma, jaw reconstruction, implantology, and sleep apnea.
